修斗とギルバード・メレンデスとの交渉が終了し、8月20日修斗のリングで佐藤ルミナと対戦することが決定しました。メレンデスの戦績はこれまで９戦全勝で対戦した選手の全てを恐怖させてきました。佐藤ルミナは経験豊かなベテラン選手で、これまでイーブス・エドワーズを始め数々の有名選手から勝利をおさめています。彼は最近の数試合での目覚しい勝利によって見事復活をとげ、再び彼の階級のトップに返り咲こうとしています。

Negotiations with Shooto have been finalized for Gilbert Melendez to fight Rumina Sato in Shooto's August 20th show in Japan. Melendez comes in with a 9-0 record and has been terrorizing anyone that has stepped in the ring with him. Sato is a seasoned veteran with wins over Yves Edwards and several other notable fighters. He has recently been reinvigorated with a string of impressive wins and is marching his way back to the top of his weight class.
The winner of this fight is in line to fight for the Shooto World Championship Belt. Both fighters will be putting everything they have on the line to prove that they are the very best in the world at their respective weight classes and we think this match has the potential to be one of the most exciting fights of the year.
